001 | Well hello there
[Everything about this place is new to Boris. At this point, he's not sure whether this is actually a good or a bad thing. It's not Wonderland, he's pretty sure about that now, and while the idea of exploring some place so entirely foreign to him is great and exciting and interesting and--
--what if he loses Alice?
He doesn't even know how he got here. His door is hiding from him, he's certain, and who knows if there's even another way for him to get back home. What if Alice misses him? He'd just made that promise, too, and now he doesn't even know if she's worried or maybe will even remember him if (when) he gets back. He didn't realise this when he first arrived, but now he's spent too long worrying.
The whole first day (it was day for a long time, he thinks, isn't that weird?) he spent napping in what was apparently his room now; he didn't see the other person who shared it, but hopefully they'll get along well enough whenever he does meet them. He'd been sleeping for a reason. Just hoping, on the off chance, that maybe Nightmare would be lurking around to tell him what had happened or at least that Alice was okay.
He's given up on waiting for that chance. He doesn't want to think about it, so now he's familiarising himself with the other 'magicians' (oh- that's what he is now, isn't it? a magician...he's pretty sure that role involves studying or something, but he'll figure that out later) in a more roundabout way than actually approaching them.
Which means going through their things.
Anyone in the halls may notice that he's testing almost every door; if it's unlocked, he enters and eventually makes his way back out to try another door. If you happen to be in your room at the time, a certain cat-eared boy has invited himself in and is curiously looking around with...surprisingly little regard for the fact that someone else is currently occupying it.
This starts in the men's dormitories and will eventually move on to the women's if left unchecked. He's not used to boundaries, you see.]
((ooc tl;dr: Boris is poking around your personal belongings, sorry.))

You shouldn't do that, you know that, mate? They used to take people's hands off for that.

The words have little effect save for a slight perking in his posture when he turns. Hands? Ordinary people lose their heads for things like this, stranger.]
Good morning! [Clearly this takes priority.] Don't worry, I haven't broken anything.

[There's a few things in there that have opotential to injure someone who doesn't know how to handle them.]
no subject
I'm good. [Dat rifle, tho.] Are these things you brought from home?

[Kiwi will now march over there. Get away from those things.]
no subject
[He's not a mind-reader, okay.]
no subject
[Kiwi is not normally a forceful person, and the comandeering tone doesn't seem to fit the brunet, but this is a rather urgent thing and that changes the tone. Get away from the weapon. Even if you talk about guns how is New Zealand gonna know if you know the same types, if you can really handle it and what it would be handled for?]

... You know, if you must make a mess, you could at least start with the other lass' side of the room. I doubt she'd know the difference.
no subject
Sorry. [His ears dip when he glances over a shoulder at her; she looks almost...regal, probably, which would explain the urge to apologise.]

It might be notable that he actually stops to ponder the question.] Nope. [And honestly he's okay with this. Do people usually give permission for things like that here?]

What were you reading? [Alice likes to read, he remembers. Maybe they'd like the same things? He should have thought to ask, before, when she'd mentioned it.] You looked really interested.

Though if you must know, it's Austen.

And what is this?

People in his world are usually shorter, though. Usually. It's a little strange for him to have to look so far up when greeting a woman.]
Oh! This is your room? Must be nice to have one all to yourself.
no subject
[advancing on him threateningly still seems like a good idea]
no subject
Yeah, I didn't mean to intrude or anything. Most of the people aren't in their rooms, it seems, so I was kind of surprised too.

[Wonderland logic, go.]
I wouldn't have messed anything up.
no subject
In fact, I insist you leave right now, or face my blade.
no subject
It's open Liet.

Oh. Hi there.
