There might be a bed, but sleeping is not where it's at.
[Whoever passes by the entrance to the dorms will see a teenager of maybe 14 years, but that age is really only visible in the bits of remaining baby fat and other such details of the facial structure: The brunet looks exhausted, the eyes much too old, acutely so, and more blood than can reasonably be shed by one person is spilt over a greenish military uniform, complete with helmet and everything, that is caked in dust and grime. A rifle is slung over one shoulder, loosely, as if to keep it ready and at hand, but while alert, Kiwi is not about to use it if spooked. There has been too much death in the recent and very recent past to really need more.]
This place looks peaceful. [It's not really meant as a remark to someone, more as a note-to-self kind of finding.]
So [and this is where the nation will adress the world as a whole, or maybe the building that the brunet is standing in front of] everyone here is supposed to dabble or be dabbling in magic. I'm surprised that the city is still standing.
[Having seen and hear about magic what the nation has, Kiwi is not too keen on getting first hand experiences in magic.] I wonder if it is very different from what they do at home.
...There can't be much more time left before I wake up. Standing around here isn't going to make the most of this. [The brunet's expression turns into a smile that speaks of a determination to not let the worries of the waking world affect the inside of a peaceful dream.]

[does whatever is involved in getting a magic carpet down to them. idek.] Now, tell me who is responsible for your current state. I can't allow such things to happen, you know that. I don't care what my economy is like, we'll go give them a sound thrashing as soon as possible!

...broom. And the way this woman fusses. And... sure, it is quite different, but hair and eyes are correct and if you substract chest and modify the angles of the face a bit and take away the glasses and... well, huh. Maybe there's been too much talk of helping the motherland lately to not affect the subconscious for England to take on the form of a woman in a dream.
That makes getting on the carpet less troublesome at least, because just crawling on it and generally not being a super cool grown up is a lot more acceptable to Kiwi when nobody directly outside of the family is present.]
...We're trying to do that right now, Mum. [Because it is a "mum" time and no "bis sis" time, England herself is just acting like that.] You sent me and Oz there for exactly that reason, just that it isn't working. [Nor does it sound like it is working over at Helles from what they know, so England should definitely know that... Though the nation is spread out everywhere, so maybe some "details" slip her mind.] The offensive just isn't going well at all, and that's what happens when that happens. [Most of the men are dead. It's still hard to lose so many in such a short time, those masses of people dying. Sure, Kiwi has experienced battle and war before. But not like this. Which is no reason to make it bring one down, because that won't be of any help, will it? So there'll just be a shrug to support the statement.]

... New Zealand, dear, the last place I sent you was right back home, with Australia and all the others. I certainly wasn't planning anything offensive, everything is sorted out now. [Looks confused, eying New Zealand carefully. Kiwi's current appearance brings back memories from not too long ago, none of them good.] What on Earth are you talking about?
no subject
That is definitely not the case. At least not at this time. At least not if... oh. Suddenly New Zealand hopes very deeply to not remember this dream after waking up, because it seems like the England in this dream is not only a much more literal mother than the one in the waking world will ever be, but also seems to be from the future that Kiwi is dearly hoping for (not that running away is a thought that the nation entertains, but the wish for all of this to be over is there and strong - strong enough to provoke dreams like this, apparently.
And if the dream was to be remembered after waking up, the brunet doubts to ever be able to not wonder if it is really a vision of the future or just wishful thinking carried over into a dream.]
You are from the future. [Which, inside a dream, is not a strange thing to say at all.]

... Isn't it?

August, that is.

It might be a bad year, but it's not like it would vanish if I was from another year, right? Just not be there right now. And you know that it'll be over eventually so that is a good thing to meet you now and not later, isn't it?

I already said this wasn't my blood for the most part, Mum. It's mostly scrapes and bruises and then my leg, but I'll just have to change the bandages later and not put too much weight on it for a few days.
...But if you have any food, that would be awesome. [Sure, this is England, but Kiwi is really very hungry. Though...] Or just something to drink, that should do.

[Still examining Kiwi's body, but is eventually satisfied by hir assessment.] All right, then, we'll get you a change of clothes and you can have a nice, long bath.

[This just occured to the dominion, but...] If we are now magicians, and removed form our land and people... are we still nations? [Mostly wondering if the wound can get infected, but also just. Generally wondering.]

[So... looking around. How do you start a carpet?]

Not your kind, anyway.

[Just resting against England's shoulder a bit. It is weird for a moment, the frame more slender and well, the long hair and just everything, but as long as it is fundamentally England, the dominions won't mind.]
