There might be a bed, but sleeping is not where it's at.

[Whoever passes by the entrance to the dorms will see a teenager of maybe 14 years, but that age is really only visible in the bits of remaining baby fat and other such details of the facial structure: The brunet looks exhausted, the eyes much too old, acutely so, and more blood than can reasonably be shed by one person is spilt over a greenish military uniform, complete with helmet and everything, that is caked in dust and grime. A rifle is slung over one shoulder, loosely, as if to keep it ready and at hand, but while alert, Kiwi is not about to use it if spooked. There has been too much death in the recent and very recent past to really need more.]

This place looks peaceful. [It's not really meant as a remark to someone, more as a note-to-self kind of finding.]

So [and this is where the nation will adress the world as a whole, or maybe the building that the brunet is standing in front of] everyone here is supposed to dabble or be dabbling in magic. I'm surprised that the city is still standing.

[Having seen and hear about magic what the nation has, Kiwi is not too keen on getting first hand experiences in magic.] I wonder if it is very different from what they do at home.

...There can't be much more time left before I wake up. Standing around here isn't going to make the most of this. [The brunet's expression turns into a smile that speaks of a determination to not let the worries of the waking world affect the inside of a peaceful dream.]

Oh, of course, dear, I'll call one down right away. I must say, though, they're not half as practical as a broom, though I suppose they're a good deal more comfortable.

[does whatever is involved in getting a magic carpet down to them. idek.] Now, tell me who is responsible for your current state. I can't allow such things to happen, you know that. I don't care what my economy is like, we'll go give them a sound thrashing as soon as possible!
mayshereign: (Not grouchy or gruff?)

[This is definitely a mum moment, yes. England's quite happy to take the "motherland" concept literally with her colonies and dominions lately, particularly the ones she actually got to raise. Precious babies. She helps Kiwi onto the carpet carefully, trying to avoid touching any of the too bloody patches in case there are indeed injuries beneath them.]

... New Zealand, dear, the last place I sent you was right back home, with Australia and all the others. I certainly wasn't planning anything offensive, everything is sorted out now. [Looks confused, eying New Zealand carefully. Kiwi's current appearance brings back memories from not too long ago, none of them good.] What on Earth are you talking about?

The future? [Blink blink.] Not at all, dear, it's 1922. [Sinking suspicion about New Zealand's current state... The uniform, the blood, the resigned, trooping attitude...]

... Isn't it?
mayshereign: (Oh I like games but I choose them.)

... They never said a bloody word about time travel! [oooh she is not pleased] And of all the shite years to pick- they could hardly do worse! [Well, for New Zealand, anyway, from England's point of view.] The bastards, what the hell were they thinking?!
mayshereign: (Oh the very thought!)

But really, this is just ridiculous. [Fusses as the carpet kindly carries them into the girls dormitories.] Where exactly are you hurt, dear? No holding out on me, you should know better than that.

I'm sure I have some tea and biscuits somewhere, and there's places to get food. [SOMEONE ASKED HER FOR FOOD she is so pleased.]

[Still examining Kiwi's body, but is eventually satisfied by hir assessment.]
All right, then, we'll get you a change of clothes and you can have a nice, long bath.

Of course we are, dear, don't be ridiculous. [Though she has felt strange since coming here...] You know you can be magic and a nation at the same time.

We all have a little bit in us, you just need to believe. [Also no fucking clue but it's taking them to England's room regardless so she must have figured it out. Yay.]
mayshereign: (You'll be practically)

[personal profile] mayshereign 2013-01-25 05:16 pm (UTC)(link)
You've always believed! [Indignant that Kiwi would even dare to imply otherwise!!! Though honestly she can never quite keep track, just don't be horrid like America, New Zealand, don't do it.]
mayshereign: (it would never dare to show)

[personal profile] mayshereign 2013-02-02 03:34 am (UTC)(link)
Well, now you should. [...] Though this sort of thing isn't quite my kind either. Still fairly marvellous, however.
